Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) is located in North Rose Hill, offering technology education to the public community college students. LWTech is a member of the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, providing over 40 study areas, including bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, and professional certificates. LWTech also has several programs for high school students, such as the Technical Academy, Running Start, Open Doors, Tech Prep, Adult High School Completion, and WANIC, allowing students to earn their high school diploma and associate degrees. With one of the highest completion rates in Washington State, LWTech is committed to providing students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the workforce.
Forbes Lake Park in North Rose Hill is a natural park with a beautiful lake, ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking and birdwatching. It is part of the Green Kirkland Partnership restoration program.
Rose Hill Meadows Park has ample green spaces. Both areas offer convenient access to shopping, dining, and I-405 for commuting purposes.
Lake Washington High School is located in the Rose Hill neighborhood, with an enrollment capacity of around 1,500 students. It is one of four leading high schools in the Lake Washington School District, belonging to the KingCo 3A athletic conference, and its team colors are purple and white. The school’s mascot is the Kangaroo.
South Rose Hill Park is a great place to visit, including a fun jungle gym for kids and walking trails for adults. The park has amenities such as basketball courts, picnic tables, and a restoration area for wildlife. Although the park has seasonal drinking fountains and restrooms, it is still a great place to visit any time of the year. Remember to take advantage of the wildlife viewing opportunities as well!
